Prefilled vs Refillable Vape Kits: What’s the Difference?

Vaping devices have different designs, but two of the most common are prefilled pod systems and refillable vape kits. Both are reusable and rechargeable, but the main difference is how the e-liquid is supplied. Understanding the design, use, and maintenance of both can help the consumer choose the best compatible option for him.

Prefilled Vape Kits

A prefilled vape kit is a rechargeable device that uses prefilled pods or cartridges already containing the e-liquid. When the e-liquid runs out, the user replaces the pod with a new one.

These are generally easy to maintain and quick to use for beginners. These are compact, and no in-hand filling of e-liquid is required, so they don’t create any fuss for the consumer. But they have a limited flavor choice, as only the e-liquid in prefilled pods is compatible with them and can be used.

Refillable Vape Kits

A refillable vape kit has a rechargeable battery and a refillable tank, cartridge, or pod. These are purchased with bottles of e-liquids separately. Instead of replacing the entire pod every time the e-liquid runs out, the user adds e-liquid from the separately bought bottle. A small rubber plug is available on the pod for the refilling process.

These are more budget-friendly and can provide customization, as the consumer can buy e-liquids in different flavors and nicotine strengths. These are ideal for daily vaping. But they need more maintenance, as it has to be refilled on a daily basis and the pod or coil is also changed after 2-3 weeks.

Refillable devices are available in different designs, from compact pod-style devices to larger vape pens and more advanced kits.

Which one is the Best Choice?

Neither of them can be marked as the best choice. Both are different in design, features, and maintenance. It depends on which option is more convenient for the user. Also, both of them falls under the UK’s reusable vape rules, as both can be used multiple times.
